Identity Week 2022 Washington, D.C. Recap

identity week

Last month, Verif-y participated in Identity Week, a global conference and exhibition encompassing all things identity. It is an event that brings together the brightest minds in the identity sector. The conference promotes innovation and the most current and effective identity solution methods.

We were pleased to meet with other industry leaders, bankers, and technology solutions providers. We were also excited to be part of new conversations about the importance of digital identity in various parts of the economy, as well as more emphasis on preventing fraud with an increased interest in liveness tests, privacy, and user-centric controls.

Some notable takeaways:

  1. The need for an improved customer onboarding experience is stronger now that Covid and working from home has brought to the forefront the importance of giving customers a frictionless, safe, and standardized process.
  2. The need to ensure that the users attempting to join or access data are whom they claim to be is strong and heightened by the increase in regulatory requirements and the risks of reputational and financial damage. Companies are constantly searching for solutions that can reduce the risk of unauthorized access
  3. The ability to comply with the growing list of privacy regulations both in the US and globally has taken center stage. More and more companies are trying to solve these needs with many of them providing a variety of alternative solutions. Verif-y is focused on providing users with the final say over their data while serving the enterprise requirements.

The Verif-y team enjoyed collaborating and meeting with industry leaders and government officials in various capacities. We look forward to participating in similar events in the future, as it is our mission to bring digital identity, privacy, and compliance to the forefront in ways that serve both the enterprises and more pressingly, us, the individuals.
